Lyon are close to agreeing a deal with Olympiacos to sign Roman Yaremchuk (30) on loan until the end of the season, according to a report from Sacha Tavolieri. The deal will also include an option to buy, which would allow OL to sign the Ukrainian international striker on a permanent basis at the end of his loan, should they wish to do so.
Advanced discussions are currently underway between the Greek club and the Ligue 1 outfit. However, the financial details of the loan move for the forward are yet to be agreed. Despite the current lack of an agreement, both clubs would like an agreement to be reached before the UEFA Champions League matches are played on Wednesday evening.
Lyon head coach Paulo Fonseca has already authorised the move for the 30-year-old and would like to add the attacker to his squad. Tavolieri reports that the Portuguese head coach plans to pair Yaremchuk in a front two alongside new signing Endrick.
