With the January transfer window just around the corner, Endrick could be the first player to leave Real Madrid, albeit on a loan deal.

The Brazilian international is on the verge of joining Olympique Lyon until the end of the season, with the agreement between the two clubs almost finalised.

Endrick will join Lyon as part of his goal to get regular game-time, as he looks to seal a place Carlo Ancelotti’s Brazil roster for the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Lyon ask Real Madrid for another player

However, it appears Endrick is not the only Real Madrid player Lyon are targeting, heading into the January transfer window.

According to Defensa Central, the Ligue 1 giants have also asked Real Madrid for the services of Dani Ceballos.

With the Endrick deal almost done, Lyon want to shore up their ranks in the midfield unit, with Ceballos emerging as an ideal target.

However, the report does clarify that Real Madrid have already rejected Lyon’s request as they do not want to part ways with Ceballos in the middle of the season.

Although Xabi Alonso hasn’t utilised the services of Ceballos much this season, he sees the Spaniard as an important player, especially ahead of a congested fixture schedule.

Real Madrid are aware that Ceballos’ presence could be crucial as the club look to avoid overburdening their usual first-team stars such as Aurelien Tchouameni, Federico Valverde and Eduardo Camavinga.

As such, Real Madrid are not entertaining any offers for Ceballos, who will finish the season at the Santiago Bernabeu.

This is despite recent speculation linking him with a move away from Real Madrid, with a few Serie A clubs already showing interest.
