Lyon will be without Christiane Endler and Teagan Micah for Sunday’s derby against AS Saint-Étienne, while Wendie Renard remains a doubt.
According to Le Progres, interim coach Féerine Belhadj, who has overseen the PSG and Marseille games, will stay in charge, and Renard’s status will be decided after Saturday’s final session.
Endler’s cut above her left eye, sustained in the 5-1 Coupe de France win over OM on 24 January, is healing very well, but she still needs to rebuild fitness. She trained indoors on Friday morning, as did Micah. A return could be possible for Lyon’s next match, the Coupe de la Ligue semi-final on 14 February in Dijon.
For Micah, the wait will be longer. She took a blow to the head before the trip to the Parc des Princes, and she is following concussion protocol.
The coach does not want to take risks. Renard was a late withdrawal in the capital and is not certain to face Saint-Étienne at Groupama Stadium after a leg muscle issue. She had hoped to return against OM in the Coupe de la Ligue quarter-finals two days ago, but the staff preferred to rely only on players at 100 percent.
