According to a report from Sacha Tavolieri, Lyon are monitoring the availability of centre-backs before the end of the transfer window. Ruben Kluivert (24) is attracting interest from several clubs around Europe, and a departure before the end of the window could see OL forced into the market.
The son of Patrick Kluivert had a slow start to life at the Groupama Stadium but has played a much more prominent role in recent weeks. With Moussa Niakhaté and Clinton Mata away on international duty at AFCON, the Dutchman has stepped into a starting role in the defence in their absence. The 24-year-old has impressed and has also shown his versatility – playing at right back when required.
OL signed the centre-back during the summer transfer window for a fee just under €4m from Casa Pia. He has made 17 appearances and scored two goals across all competitions since he arrived at Les Gones. However, he could be on the move just after six months amid interest in his services.
