Lyon punish early dismissal to climb into top four

Lyon beat Brest 2-1 in Décines-Charpieu, rising from fifth to fourth in Ligue 1 after two first half goals against visitors reduced to 10 men.
In the 19th minute Romain Del Castillo was sent off, leaving Brest a player down.
Pavel Sulc struck from Afonso Moreira's pass (41.). Abner then doubled the lead in the first minute of first half stoppage time after a lay-off from Endrick.
Eric Junior Dina Ebimbe pulled one back from Brendan Chardonnet's pass late on (87.).
Les Gones controlled 70.9% possession and registered 19 attempts, with six on target. Brest mustered five attempts, no corners and made 31 clearances.
Brest remain 10th. Les Gones visit BSC Young Boys in the Europa League next. Brest host Toulouse next.
