Lyon supporters have been barred from travelling to Paris for Sunday’s Ligue 1 match in the 30th round, kick-off 20:45.

The Interior Ministry said in a decree published in the Journal Officiel on Friday that all travel by Olympique Lyonnais fans to Île-de-France is prohibited, citing risks to public order and a longstanding rivalry. The order covers anyone claiming to be, or acting as, an OL supporter.

Recent concerns include violent behaviour by some supporters from both clubs, and risks linked to fights, projectile throwing and damage.

In early March, Lyon fans clashed with counterparts from Celta Vigo before an OL European fixture.

Before the 2024 Coupe de France final between Lyon and PSG, groups met at a motorway service area to fight. Dozens were injured and an investigation opened at the time was closed without further action earlier this month.
