Lyon ‘to rival’ Kansas City for Toulouse winger Yann Gboho | OneFootball

Olympique Lyonnais have entered the race to sign Toulouse winger Yann Gboho, 25, despite Sporting Kansas City holding a verbal agreement, according to Foot Mercato.

Toulouse and the MLS side have agreed transfer terms, and Kansas City have also reached a contract agreement with the player.

The push comes alongside their pursuit of Keito Nakamura, 26, who is set to join from Reims.

Gboho has become a key attacker for Toulouse since arriving from Rennes in 2024. The Ivory Coast international recorded 11 goals and nine assists in 2025/26 as Toulouse finished in the top half of Ligue 1.

OL are exploring whether they can hijack the transfer to Kansas City, with further attacking reinforcements sought before the window closes.
