Corinthians are awaiting an official bid from Nottingham Forest for 20-year-old midfielder André Luiz on Monday.

According to Meu Timao, the offer is expected to be 13 million pounds guaranteed plus up to five million in bonuses for 70 percent of his rights. The plan would keep André at Corinthians until the end of the year, with a move in 2027, and split add-ons, two million tied to targets at Corinthians and three million linked to objectives in England.

Corinthians had initially targeted 15 million pounds plus six million in bonuses, leaving a shortfall of R$ 21 million versus the likely proposal.

Financial pressures mean the club could accept, with a need to raise up to R$ 151 million from player economic rights by season end and three active transfer bans totalling R$ 21 million.

The English window closes at 19:00 on Tuesday. Earlier this season Milan saw a 17 million euro bid rejected as below expectations.

André Luiz debuted for the first team in September 2025, a 1-0 win over Fluminense under Dorival Júnior. He has since played 47 times, 31 starts, with seven goals and two assists, and featured in the 2025 Copa do Brasil and 2026 Supercopa do Brasil triumphs. He became a regular under Fernando Diniz this year until a grade two right hamstring injury on the sixth of August halted his run.
