AJ Auxerre will look to offer Johann Lepenant (21) a fresh start away from Olympique Lyonnais this summer, as the young midfielder looks to get his career back on track with a temporary move away from his formative club.

A loan away from Lyon could be exactly what the young midfielder needs after he suffered an injury against England in an U21s France game late last year. Already a peripheral figure under Fabio Grosso, his knee injury came ahead of the appointment of Pierre Sage who is yet to play Lepenant in a hotly contested position.

Auxerre look to offer Ligue 1 playing time for Johann Lepenant

According to Foot Mercato, although several clubs are interested in the Frenchman, he features highly on Auxerre’s shortlist. The recently promoted club will be able to offer him consistent playing time in Ligue 1 as they look to prepare for a difficult campaign ahead where survival will be their one and only goal.
