He sustained an injury while on international duty, with no details disclosed, and underwent an MRI in Marseille on Monday.

Following those tests, he was released from Patrick Vieira’s squad and has returned to Olympique Lyonnais.

He is absent from Senegal’s game against the Comoros on four October.
