Le Progres reports that Lyon’s potential Champions League play-off opponents are now set. If they beat Sparta Prague in the third qualifying round, they will face either the winners of Olympiacos vs NEC Nijmegen or Fenerbahçe vs Sturm Graz.

Lyon are not there yet. Their final warm-up at Betis Seville on Wednesday raised a few concerns, with the first leg in the Czech Republic six days away.

While Paulo Fonseca’s side were toiling in Andalusia, others were fighting through the second qualifying round. The club from Türkiye squeezed past Gornik Zabrze, drawing 1-1 in Poland after a 1-0 first-leg win.

They will meet Sturm Graz in the third qualifying round, the Austrians having swept aside Heart of Midlothian, 4-0 and 2-0.

Olympiacos and NEC Nijmegen, like Lyon, enter at the third qualifying round. The play-offs are scheduled for 18-19 and 25-26 August, and if Lyon advance, they will face the winner of one of those two ties.
