Celtic have received a third bid from Nottingham Forest for the services of midfielder Arne Engels on transfer deadline day.
Nottingham Forest are desperate to bring in a midfielder before the transfer window closes as they fight to survive in the Premier League.
Belgian midfielder Engels, an £11m buy from Augsburg, is the man that Forest have zeroed in on today.
Celtic have already turned down two proposals from the City Ground outfit for Engels, but they have not been put off and are back in for him.
Nottingham Forest have sent a third offer to Celtic for Engels.

The proposal comes in at a basic £20m, but has the ability to go as high as £25m through add-ons.
Journalist Raman Bhardwaj wrote on X: “Nottingham Forest have made a third bid for Arne Engels – £20m + £5m add-ons.”
It is unclear whether the add-ons would be easy or hard to achieve, but even at the fixed fee, Celtic would be looking at making a £9m profit on Engels.
The move though would deprive Martin O’Neill of a key midfield option at a time when Celtic are involved in a real scrap to retain their Scottish Premiership title.

Engels has also been looked at by Bundesliga side RB Leipzig this window, but it is Forest who are making all the running for his signature.
The midfielder has often split opinion during his time at Celtic, with one former top flight attacker claiming he should be having more of an influence given how much the Bhoys paid to sign him.
Celtic now have a big decision to make over whether or not to cash in on Engels before the transfer window slams shut later this evening.
