Madelón stays put: deal reached to renew with Unión

Leonardo Carol Madelón has fully finalized an agreement to continue as head coach and will oversee the team’s return to training next Monday. The new contract includes a reasonable pay raise, so his continuation at the club is already a fact ahead of next season.

The professional squad will return to activity this Monday at the club’s training ground, with the only detail still to be decided being whether preseason will begin in the morning or in the afternoon. Most likely, the start of training will be led by Madelón’s main coaching staff; in this way, “Moncho” Ruiz, Nicolás Vazzoler, and fitness coach Augusto Madelón (Leo’s son) will directly take charge of the group to coordinate the return to work.
