Having spent the 2025/26 season on loan at Karlsruher SC, Roko Šimić is close to a return to Germany.
According to Sky Germany, 2. Bundesliga side 1. FC Magdeburg have reached an agreement in principle with Cardiff City over a loan deal with an option to buy for the Croatian striker.

Šimić is already in Magdeburg for his medical, but the deal is not yet complete, with the exact structure of the transfer still being discussed.
The 22-year-old scored three goals in 28 appearances for Karlsruhe last season.
His contract with Cardiff runs until the summer of 2028.
