Manchester United will lock horns with Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium this Sunday evening as they look to secure a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Red Devils managed to earn a hard-fought 3-2 win over Burnley before the international break, which should give them some confidence ahead of this game.

Ruben Amorim will set his team up in a 3-4-2-1 formation and is expected to make some tweaks to his first team for this Manchester derby. Kobbie Mainoo, Benjamin Sesko and Noussair Mazraoui could all play from the start of this game.

Defence

Altay Bayindir will play in goal for the Mancunian side after he shipped in a couple of goals in his last league appearance. Amorim could opt for a back three of Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt and Luke Shaw as they focus on keeping things tidy defensively during the game.

Harry Maguire will offer cover for the centre-back positions on the bench.

Midfield

Kobbie Mainoo will anchor the midfield along with Casemiro as they look to win the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park.

Patrick Dorgu will fill in as the left-sided wide player while Noussair Mazraoui plays as the right wing-back. Amorim will ask both of them to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.

Bruno Fernandes and Bryan Mbeumo will operate as Man United‘s attacking midfielders. The dynamic duo would have to carry most of the creative workload for the Red Devils in the Man City half.

Amad Diallo and Manuel Ugarte will be named on the bench as they await their chance to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if required.

Attack

Benjamin Sesko will lead the line for Man United in the final third. He would be eager to score his first goal for the club in the Manchester derby.

Joshua Zirkzee will make up the numbers on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the final quarter if the Red Devils are in need of a goal by then. However, both Mason Mount and Matheus Cunha are major doubts for this clash.
