According to L'Équipe, Lyon trimmed their squad on deadline day, terminating Duje Caleta-Car’s contract and selling Ainsley Maitland-Niles, in addition to Malick Fofana. A proposed loan for Youssouf Fofana collapsed because Nicolas Tagliafico did not move.
