Malick Fofana should join Sunderland rather than Crystal Palace after a prolonged tussle. According to L'Équipe, the Belgian Lyon winger is expected to head to the north of England.

Sunderland have slightly improved their proposal to Lyon and, crucially, to the player’s camp, which has tilted the deal in their favour.

Fofana has completed his medical in Lyon and should link up with the club managed by Régis Le Bris.
