La Liga outfit RCD Mallorca have on Thursday been dealt a fresh blow on the personnel front.
This comes amid confirmation that summer signing Takuma Asano has suffered a setback in his efforts to return to the pitch.
Attacker Asano, for his part, has not taken to the pitch since the middle of last month.
As much comes owing to a muscular injury suffered in training in the buildup to Mallorca’s La Liga meeting with Real Betis.
The Japanese had since spent recent days ramping up his recovery, playing his part in a match between ranks on Thursday morning.
During precisely as much, however, Asano suffered a fresh fitness blow.
As per a report from Marca, the 29-year-old pulled up suddenly during the training match, before limping out of proceedings to head back to the medical room.
It now remains to be seen whether or not the issue is related to his previous hamstring one, an outcome which would culminate in another incoming spell on the treatment table for Asano.
