La Liga outfit RCD Mallorca have been dealt a last-minute blow ahead of their upcoming meeting with Sevilla.

This comes amid confirmation that defender Toni Lato has been forced to withdraw from the club’s latest squad.

Mallorca are primed to return to action on Saturday afternoon.

In their post-international break return, the Bermellones will make the trip to The Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán, for a league clash with the aforementioned Sevilla.

In the buildup to the fixture, Jagoba Arrasate was already aware that he would be forced to make do without all of Takuma Asano, Marash Kumbulla, and Antonio Sánchez.

And as alluded to above, on Friday, yet another Mallorca star has been ruled out of the visit to Seville.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:

‘Real Mallorca has just announced that defender Toni Lato has been dropped from the squad due to physical discomfort.’

Left-back Lato was originally included in Arrasate’s travelling party, but at the last minute it was decided that he would stay put in Palma for treatment.
