Transferred to Chelsea at the beginning of June for €15 million, Mamadou Sarr may already be on his way back to Ligue 1.

According to L'Équipe, the Blues are considering loaning the 19-year-old centre-back back to his former club, RC Strasbourg, for the 2025-2026 season. After a standout campaign last year with 27 appearances and one assist, Sarr convinced Chelsea to sign him on a contract running until 2033. But with fierce competition in London, the English club is keen to guarantee him playing time by sending him back to Alsace on loan.

The loan deal could be made official this week. Developed at Olympique Lyonnais and with a stint at RWD Molenbeek, Sarr continues his steady rise, determined to secure a permanent place in the Blues' squad when he returns.
