Man City injury news: Latest updates on John Stones and Rodri | OneFootball

Manchester City assistant manager Kolo Toure says John Stones is not expected to be out for long with the injury he has suffered.

Stones has missed the last two games and asked for an update on the defender, Toure, speaking at the press conference ahead of the game against Crystal Palace in Pep Guardiola’s absence due to a personal matter, said: “Today the players are off and tomorrow, when everybody comes back, we will know more.

“It was his thigh I think. That’s the problem.

“But I’m sure it wasn’t something too big and he will be back soon.”

Rodri is also set to miss out again when City take on the Eagles but Toure says he is progressing well.

“Rodri is training really well,” he said.

“He’s doing his rehab really, really well and he looks sharper and sharper every day.

“I don’t think we’re going to see him for the weekend but he’s in the process definitely.”
