Former Milan midfielder Tijjani Reijnders, now at Manchester City, says he still follows the Rossoneri closely and believes they have what it takes to win the Scudetto this season.

Reijnders: ‘Milan are doing an excellent job’

The Dutchman joined Pep Guardiola’s side in the summer for around €55 million, after a standout season at San Siro, where his technique and energy quickly made him a fan favourite.

Despite his success in the Premier League, with one goal and two assists in ten appearances so far, his affection for Milan remains strong.

“Can Milan win the Scudetto? I think they can. The opportunity is there this year:  they’re doing excellent work. I really hope the club can soon achieve that second star.”

Reijnders also looked ahead to the Netherlands’ upcoming World Cup qualifier against Lithuania:

“We’re on the right track, but it’s not done yet. We need to finish the job on Monday and be ready for a difficult match.”
