Man City seeking to record a 20th straight win over the Cottagers and put pressure on Arsenal in title race
Manchester City have the chance to close the gap on Arsenal to three points when they face Fulham in the Premier League this week.
Trailing in the 74th minute to Dominik Szoboszlai’s stunning free-kick, it looked to be another disappointing trip to Anfield for Pep Guardiola until late goals from Bernardo Silva and Erling Haaland secured a vital victory.
As a result, Man City have a big opportunity to heap pressure on Arsenal before the league leaders face in-form Brentford away from home on Thursday.
Fulham, meanwhile, have hit the buffers recently, losing three of their last four games - including a 3-2 loss on their last visit to Manchester at the beginning of the month - though remain in the hunt for European qualification.
Here’s everything you need to know about the game…
The match will take place at the Etihad Stadium.
TV channel: In the UK, the game will be televised live on TNT Sports. Coverage starts at 7pm GMT on TNT Sports 4.
Live stream: TNT Sports subscribers can also catch the contest live online via the Discovery+ app and website.
Abdukodir Khusanov is set to miss out for Man City against Fulham. The central defender has been enjoying a run in the side in the absence of Ruben Dias and Josko Gvardiol, but that is poised to come to an end in midweek.
As Khusanov’s substitution at Anfield was a concussion substitution, the protocols surrounding head injuries mean he is likely to be unavailable for the visit of the Cottagers.
Dias, however, is ready to make his first start in over a month, partnering Marc Guehi who has been an ever-present in the Premier League since joining from Crystal Palace in the January transfer window.
John Stones is nearing a return to fitness, but Gvardiol, Mateo Kovacic, Jeremy Doku and Savinho remain sidelined.
Oscar Bobb, meanwhile, could face his former club not long after completing a £27million move to Fulham. The attacking midfielder came off the bench for the final seven minutes against Everton and will be pushing for further involvement.
Calvin Bassey, surprisingly, has not started since returning from the Africa Cup of Nations, but could start at the Etihad as the visitors will need to be strong defensively.

While victory over Liverpool left Man City exactly where they began the weekend - six points off leaders Arsenal - the physcolognical boost of winning at Anfield was evident during the post-match celebrations.
Playing before the Gunners this matchweek allows City to ramp up the pressure and we expect Guardiola’s side to get the job done against a dangerous Fulham team.
Man City to win, 2-0.
The two teams played out a nine-goal thriller at Craven Cottage earlier in the season as Man City extended their run of wins in this fixture to 19 across all competitions.
Man City wins: 44
Fulham wins: 17

Man City to win: 3/10
