Manchester United are expected to focus on defensive reinforcements in 2027 after investing in the attack and midfield during the last two summer transfer windows. The Red Devils have struggled to keep out goals once again this season, conceding eight times in five Premier League games.

The report goes on to suggest that the lack of a release clause in the player’s contract could also work to the North London side’s favour, adding: “There is also no indication of a release clause, meaning Tottenham can effectively name their price.”
