Manchester United are ready to offer Marcus Rashford in exchange for Victor Osimhen in the January transfer window, according to La Repubblica (via Calcionapoli24).
The Red Devils were interested in using Joshua Zirkzee to land Osimhen but are now ready to offer Rashford as an alternative to facilitate a deal with Napoli.
United are open to selling Rashford to boost their finances.
Osimhen helped Napoli win their first Serie A title in 33 years in 2022/2023. He scored 26 goals to become the highest-scoring African player in a single season in Serie A.
He also holds the record for the most goals scored by an African Player in Serie A. He has scored 66 goals to rank ahead of African legends George Weah and Samuel Eto’o.
His relationship with Napoli has broken down which led to his loan move to Galatasaray. He is enjoying his stay with the Turkish giants, making a January move to Old Trafford unlikely.
The Nigeria international has had a remarkable start to life with Galatasaray, bagging ten goals and five assists in 13 games.
There is a clause in his contract with Galatasaray that allows him to leave next month, but he is unwilling to do so.
The 25-year-old has confirmed he will stay with the Turkish giants until the end of the season.
This would make it difficult for United to sign him in the January transfer window. A deal for him is more feasible in the summer.
Chelsea and Juventus have also been credited with an interest in Osimhen.
