After a summer of flux, Manchester United Women finally got their season underway against London City Lionesses last Friday.
Unfortunately for new head coach Eva Olid, it was far from an ideal start as the Red Devils were outclassed 2-1.
Life will not get any easier for United in the near future, as they have some challenging fixtures to start the season.
In the Women’s Super League, they will take on Chelsea this Sunday, who have always been a tough nut to crack, and then face Arsenal, the 2025 Champions League winners, on Saturday 19th September.
The club’s official website has also announced when supporters can watch matches in the following month.
The site states, “the confirmed dates and kick-off times for Manchester United’s four Barclays Women’s Super League fixtures in October have been announced, following the latest round of broadcast picks.”
The month will kick off with a mouth-watering tie versus Liverpool at home on Saturday 3rd.
The match will begin at 13:30 BST and will be live on the BBC for UK viewers.
There will be a two-week break before United are in action again when they face newly promoted Charlton Athletic away from home.
This game will kick off at 14:00 BST on Sunday 18th of the month.
United will then take on the reigning Women’s Super League champions Manchester City at home on Sunday 25th October at 18:00 GMT. This match, like the Charlton fixture, will be live on Sky Sports for viewers based in the UK.
Finally, there will be a Halloween encounter for the Red Devils away to Everton, with the match beginning at 12:45 GMT on the Saturday in Liverpool.
