PSG manager Luis Enrique is under contract until 2027. However, that doesn’t mean the Parisians aren’t already laying the groundwork to ensure that the Spaniard remains in the French capital long-term.
According to L’Équipe (h/t Le10Sport), PSG have recently opened talks with Enrique about a new contract extension. The plan would be to secure the Spanish coach through 2030, with a deal potentially wrapped up quickly.
The club wants the 55-year-old manager to sign the extension at the end of the season, before leaving for vacation. If completed, Enrique would remain in Paris for a total of seven years, something rarely seen among Europe’s elite clubs.
It now remains to be seen whether Enrique is willing to commit even further to life at the reigning European champions. Nonetheless, his name was also in the rumor mill in connection with another high-profile job.

The Daily Mirror reports that Enrique has been linked with taking over at Manchester United, but the Spaniard does not believe it is the right project for him and is set to sign a new contract with the French club.
Moreover, that same report from L’Equipe revealed that to extend his contract, and above all to keep his job as long as possible, the former Barcelona player wants to feel that the club is heading in the right direction, which is still the case for him in Paris.
