Paris Saint-Germain are seeking to extend the deal of their manager, Luis Enrique, as per a report from L’Équipe.
Luis Enrique has done excellent work since arriving at PSG, winning the Ligue 1 title in both of his seasons at the club, whilst also delivering the club their maiden UEFA Champions League trophy last season. It has been an overwhelmingly-successful two-and-a-half years and, naturally, PSG are keen to extend the Spaniard’s deal, which currently runs until the summer of 2027.
There is now an urgency to do so. PSG do not want the Spaniard to be in a delicate situation come the summer, when he will have just one year remaining on his deal. It comes amid interest from Premier League clubs, some of whom could be in the market for a new manager come the summer, L’Équipe understands.
However, Luis Enrique has seemingly made his priority remaining at PSG, who are looking to tie the former Barcelona manager to a new deal running until 2030.
