Here are the City player ratings as Manchester City drew 1-all with Brighton at the Etihad Stadium last night. Erling Haaland converted a penalty in the 41st minute to give City the lead in the first-half. Haaland scored his 150th goal for Manchester City which was a special moment for Manchester City’s number-nine. Unfortunately, Haaland’s penalty was cancelled out by Kaoru Mitoma’s 60th minute strike which saw both team’s pick up a point.
Pep Guardiola’s side had their chances to take all three points tonight but it wasn’t to be. City weren’t at their best but they will be left frustrated that their wastefulness in front of goal has cost them again after their draws against Sunderland and Chelsea. Misses from Bernardo Silva, Erling Haaland and Rayan Cherki across the second-half did prove more than costly.
Here are the City player ratings from Manchester City’s third consecutive draw which has the potential to see them fall even further behind Arsenal who could go eight points clear at the top of the Premier League if they beat Liverpool at the Emirates.
Gianluigi Donnarumma-7/10: Made several good saves and did his job in goal well.
Matheus Nunes-6.5/10: He was a major attacking threat for City early in the game but he did run out of legs. He’s gotten through a mountain of work for his team recently and he did look to run out of steam before he was taken off.
Abdukodir Khusanov-7.5/10: His pace was important throughout the evening and I thought he played well.
Max Alleyne-7.5/10: A very impressive performance from Alleyne. He didn’t look out of place and that’s a credit to him. Manchester City look like they’ve found a player in Alleyne.
Nathan Ake-6/10: Did his job at left-back as Brighton did target him on occasions.
Nico-6/10: Did his job but his performance did feel short of his usual displays.
Bernardo Silva-6/10: Manchester City’s captain toiled away but his miss at the beginning of the second-half proved to be extremely costly.
Tijjani Reijnders-5.5/10: The Dutch internationals had his chances but didn’t make the impact he’d have liked.
Phil Foden-5/10: A tired performance from Foden and he looks to be in desperate need of a rest. He couldn’t get into the game at all.
Jeremy Doku-7/10: A bright display from Doku. He was arguably Manchester City’s most dangerous attacking player and he never stopped trying to find a way through the Brighton defence.
Erling Haaland-6.5/10: Haaland converted his penalty with ease and he put himself about all game. His miss in the game’s closing stages proved costly and he’ll be kicking himself for missing such an easy chance.

Rodri-6/10: Came on for Nico but didn’t have the influence on the game he’d have liked.
Rayan Cherki-6.5/10: Cherki made an impact off the bench. He should have grabbed an assist but Haaland missed a gilt-edged chance and Cherki missed a great chance to win the game in the 87th minute.
Nico O’Reilly-6/10: A solid performance off the bench from O’Reilly.
Rico Lewis: 6/10: Lewis had some nice touches and perhaps could have come on earlier.
