In a recent post on X, respected journalist Fabrizio Romano stated that Manchester City have agreed to sign Everton winger Iliman Ndiaye. It has been mentioned that the Mancunian club have come to an agreement on a £65m deal to bring the Senegalese talent to the Etihad Stadium on deadline day.

Ndiaye’s Decent Numbers In English Football

Ndiaye enjoyed an impressive campaign at the Merseyside club as he was responsible for putting in a run of eye-catching performances for them in the Premier League. The 26-year-old scored six goals and earned three assists in 34 appearances for the Toffees last season in multiple competitions.

The Senegalese talent is currently one of the most talented wingers in the Premier League. Thus, it is no surprise that the Mancunian club have decided to agree on a deal to land him this summer.

His current deal at the Hill Dickinson Stadium will expire in the summer of 2029. Hence, Man City have done well to acquire his services in this transfer period.

What Will Ndiaye Bring To Manchester City?

Ndiaye is a decent dribbler with the ball and can make some dangerous runs with it out in the wide positions. He has the eye to play some decisive passes in and around the opponent’s penalty area and can shoot the ball with venom from long range.

The Senegalese talent can contribute by scoring and creating his fair share of goals from the flanks. Ndiaye is primarily a right-sided wide player but can also fill in as a left-winger or play in the number ten position if asked to do so. He is already quite familiar with the Premier League and won’t take much time to settle into life at the Mancunian club if they manage to sign him before the transfer deadline.

We can expect Ndiaye to bring more quality and depth to Man City boss Enzo Maresca’s frontline. He has what it takes to fight for a regular first-team spot at the Etihad Stadium over the next few years.

At 26, Ndiaye has his best years ahead of him, which makes him a great signing for the Mancunian giants to pull off in this transfer window. He will also help Man City compete across all fronts in the future.
