City will pay an initial £62.5million for Semenyo, making it the biggest sale in Bournemouth’s history.

Semenyo arrives after an impressive spell with the Cherries, where his explosive performances established him as one of the standout forwards in the Premier League..

He signed off for Bournemouth in style, scoring a dramatic stoppage-time winner against Tottenham Hotspur in his final appearance,

Capable of operating in multiple positions up front, the Ghana international brings pace, power and direct running, traits that City believe will complement their existing wide options.

“I am so proud to have joined Manchester City,” Semenyo said on the completion of his move.

“I have watched City over the last decade under Pep Guardiola, and they have been the dominant team in the Premier League as well as achieving amazing things in the Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup.”

Semenyo will hope to inspire his new employers to Premier League glory as they aim to make up a six-point gap on current leaders Arsenal.

More transfer activity is expected at the Etihad Stadium given Man City’s injury woes at the back. They have been linked with a move for Crystal Palace’s skipper Marc Guehi.
