Greenwood still has a huge role to play for Manchester City and the club have therefore moved to secure her services for an extended period.

After opting to extend her contract with Manchester City, Greenwood said “I’m really happy to stay here. It’s the club I love and the club I want to be successful at, and I’m really happy to be here for another two years.

“Personally, I have so much unfinished business to be done, and I love this football club. It feels like home to me now and I feel this is where I belong and I’m meant to be.”

Greenwood is currently recovering from an injury which will keep her sidelined for a few weeks.
