Eli Junior Kroupi’s (19) excellent season at AFC Bournemouth has not gone unnoticed and the France youth international is now attracting the attention of Premier League giants Manchester City, according to a report from Sacha Tavolieri

Kroupi excelled with FC Lorient last season in Ligue 2, but he would not join his formative club in making the step up to Ligue 1, instead joining Bournemouth over the summer, having signed the previous winter. The Frenchman has quickly adapted to the demands of the Premier League, netting 11 goals in his debut season for the Cherries.

Kroupi states desire to play for ‘the biggest clubs’

And it could be his only season at the Vitality Stadium. Tavolieri understands that Pep Guardiola is a big fan of the player and Manchester City could therefore make their move at the end of the season. He won’t come cheap, however, with Bournemouth setting a €80m price tag.

Speaking to Téléfoot back in March, Kroupi stated his desire to make the step to a bigger club. “I had dreams of winning the Ballon d’Or, of playing for the biggest clubs in the world, but they aren’t really dreams anymore, rather objectives because I know that I can make them a reality. I’m now working to get to where I want to be,” said Kroupi.
