Pep Guardiola told the media yesterday that Manchester City’s midfield general would travel with the City squad for today’s match. However, Guardiola didn’t say if Rodri was available for today’s match after he had missed City’s past five matches.

Outside of Rodri, Pep Guardiola has a full squad to pick from for today’s match. Guardiola rotated his squad for their 3-0 win over Crystal Palace on Wednesday night. A host of City players are in form and ready to go if selected to start at Wembley. That is a great position for Manchester City to be in ahead of today’s match.

The biggest selection query surrounding the City starting lineup is how Manchester City will line up in midfield. Nico hasn’t featured in Manchester City’s past two matches. Bernardo Silva has played as a number six in midfield, and with Josko Gvardiol fit, perhaps Gvardiol starts at left-back with Nico O’Reilly moving into midfield.
