Manchester City work on deal to sign Rayan Ait-Nouri

David Ornstein reports that Manchester City are pushing forward to secure a deal for Wolves defender Rayan Ait-Nouri (23) with all parties expecting a move to happen.

Although no agreement has yet been reached, Manchester City appear confident of signing the 23-year-old left-back, who will provide competition for Josko Gvardiol and Nico O’Reilly. No fee has been mentioned but Ait Nouri is currently valued at €35m by Transfermarkt.

After finishing third behind Liverpool and Arsenal, Manchester City are moving quick to strengthen their squad. As well as Ait Nouri, the club are also working on a deal to sign Milan midfielder Tijjani Reijnders. Pep Guardiola hopes to have the Dutchman in the squad for the upcoming Club World Cup where they will face Wydad AC, Al Ain and Juventus in Group G.
