Manchester United ace Rolfö announces pregnancy | OneFootball

Manchester United ace Fridolina Rolfö has announced the news that she is pregnant.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official media update from The Red Devils this afternoon.

The 32-year-old Swedish international is understood to have informed her teammates of her good news earlier this week.

Rolfö is now likely to remain in light training with Manchester United, although she will not be available for first team selection for the foreseeable future.

When announcing her news, Rolfö said “I just wanted to gather the whole group, staff and players, to tell you something.

“It’s been hard lying for such a long time but I think you might know what I’m about to say.

“To be lying in the gym the whole time, I’ve been lifting like 10 kilos in bench press, bending and doing nothing [laughs] and I’ve seen Simi [Awujo] and Emma [Watson] working really hard, and they’ve been staring at me and wondering ‘what is this girl doing?’

“I’m super-happy and yesterday I was in the hospital and I got really positive news, I am pregnant! It is crazy and thank you so much.”

Rolfö joined Manchester United from FC Barcelona last summer. She made 19 appearances for the club in the Barclays Women’s Super League last season, scoring three goals.
