Garnacho was reportedly told by Amorim last week to find a new club during the upcoming transfer window. The pair’s relationship has deteriorated in recent months, and Garnacho questioning his manager's decision not to start him in the Europa League final loss to Tottenham appears to have been the final straw for Amorim.

The unwanted player, nonetheless, was required to fly out to Asia for the club’s two post-season money-spinning friendlies, which began on Wednesday with another humiliating defeat, this time at the hands of ASEAN All-Stars. On Friday, United will face the Hong Kong national team.

Amad was talking to press in Hong Kong and, while sat next to his manager, expressed his hopes for Garnacho this summer.

“Alejandro is a really good player and we need good players in the team,” Amad told reporters in Hong Kong.

“I know Garna really well, so I hope to have Garna next season. It is not really a big issue for the team. Everything is good now."

Garnacho is in line to play on Friday, in what could be his final game for the club should Amorim get his wish.

The United manager said of the Argentine: “He is a player of Manchester United, all the players are here. Some players are injured and it was better for them not to fly here to play these two games. It is a normal situation.”

“If the players are available, I am going to put the players to play,” he continued: “I will try to divide [the team] because I don't want all the young kids together. I don't know if [Bruno Fernandes and Garnacho] will play together. I am trying to balance the team, but if they are fit, they will play. We will have the maximum respect for everybody here."
