Straight swap in right-backs for Man Utd
Manchester United have shuffled their pack in defence with the signing of Noussair Mazraoui on a four-year contract.
Bayern Munich will receive £17.2million for the Morocco international, £4.3m of which is subject to bonus clauses.
Mazraoui joins Matthijs de Ligt in swapping Bavaria for Manchester as United complete a double defensive swoop to bolster a key area of Erik ten Hag’s squad.
The addition of Mazraoui will provide competition for Diogo Dalot at right-back and sees Aaron Wan-Bissaka leave for West Ham in a deal worth £15m.
Dutch-born Mazraoui, 26, broke through under Ten Hag at Ajax before a 2022 switch to Bayern, where he won the 2023 Bundesliga title.
“It’s an incredible feeling to be a Manchester United player, and I cannot wait to walk out at Old Trafford wearing the red shirt,” he said.
