In a recent report, The Mirror stated that Manchester United are set to open talks to sign Club Brugge full-back Joaquin Seys this summer. It has been mentioned that the Red Devils are eyeing a £30m move to secure the services of the Belgian defender this month.

Seys’ Impressive Rise In Belgian Football

The 21-year-old managed to catch the eye at times with his performances on the left side of Club Brugge’s defence in the previous campaign. Seys registered two goals and picked up five assists in 39 appearances for the Belgian club last season in all competitions.

The Belgian talent is currently among the most gifted full-backs in the Jupiler Pro League. Hence, it is no surprise that the Red Devils have set their sights on him this off-season.

His current deal at Club Brugge will run out in the summer of 2029, so Man United would have to make a good offer if they are serious about signing Seys in this transfer window.

Should Manchester United Boss Michael Carrick Go For Seys?

Seys is a good tackler of the ball and can read the danger well to secure possession back for his side inside his half. He usually puts his foot through the ball when needed and is a tidy passer as well.

The Belgian whizkid can even chip in by scoring and creating a few important goals for his team. Seys mainly operates as a left-back but can also fill in as a right-back or play as a holding midfielder if required. However, there are some question marks over whether he would be able to maintain his good form in the Premier League if the Red Devils manage to bring him on board before the end of this summer transfer window.
