Manchester United forward Amad Diallo could reportedly be out for up to six weeks after picking up an injury in training.
The Red Devils started the new Premier League season with a 2-0 defeat to Hull City on Saturday.
Diallo was unavailable for selection. Initial scans have been carried and United are awaiting further test results to have a clearer picture of things.
However, the early signs are not looking too positive and the winger could miss the whole of next month and part of October.
Man United return to action when they host Ipswich Town at Old Trafford next Sunday, and they desperately need to return to winning ways.
They play Everton, Manchester City and Fulham in September before games against Tottenham Hotspur, Leeds United, Bournemouth and Chelsea the following month.
United have signed Andrey Santos, Youri Tielemans and Karl Darlow this summer, while Carlos Baleba is set to join from Brighton & Hove Albion.
United manager Michael Carrick will hope to bolster his attack before the summer transfer window closes, and Diallo’s injury could force the board to move quickly.
The 24-year-old featured regularly last season and will be eager to impress this term.
