In a recent report, Fichajes stated that Manchester United have set their sights on Bournemouth star Antoine Semenyo. It has been claimed that the Red Devils are eyeing a move to bring the Ghanaian talent to Old Trafford next year.
Semenyo has enjoyed a decent campaign at the English club after putting in a run of eye-catching displays for them in the Premier League. The Ghana international has banged in seven goals and picked up three assists in 16 appearances for the Cherries this season in all competitions.
The 25-year-old has proven his worth inside the opponent’s half by averaging 2.20 shots per 90 minutes in the Premier League. He has kept 54.5% of his attempts on target. However, Semenyo has to improve his ball distribution after completing just 69.8% of his attempted passes in league football (stats via fbref.com).
His current deal at Bournemouth will expire in the summer of 2030. Thus, Man United would have to make a convincing offer if they are serious about recruiting Semenyo next year.

Semenyo is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make a few inviting chances for others around him in and around the opponent’s penalty area. He can shoot the ball with venom from long range and can contribute by scoring and creating his fair share of goals up top.
The Ghanaian talent has already proven his worth in the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at Man United. He is primarily a right-sided wide player, but can also function as a left winger or as a centre-forward if needed.
We can expect Semenyo to add more pace and firepower to Ruben Amorim’s frontline. He is good enough to challenge for a regular starting place at Old Trafford in the coming years.
At 25, Semenyo has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a great choice for the Red Devils to consider this January or at the end of this campaign. He might even help the Mancunian giants compete across all competitions in the future. Hence, Amorim should focus on going all out to snap him up next year.
