LeicesterMercury.co.uk understands that Manchester United are pushing to sign Leicester City youngster Louis Page in the final hours of the transfer window.
United’s latest, and final, offer is understood to be worth more than the £12.5 million Manchester City paid for Jeremy Monga earlier in the window. The proposal would see Page return to Leicester on loan for the season and include a sizeable sell-on clause.
Page has arrived at the King Power Stadium for tonight’s League One game against Plymouth Argyle and is in contention for Russell Martin’s squad. Any agreement between the clubs could see him withdrawn.
United have tracked the 18-year-old all summer alongside Arsenal. Leicester rejected a bid earlier in the window and it had looked as though he would stay.
Momentum increased over the weekend when Page’s cousin, Ethan, posted Instagram stories, including one taken at Old Trafford during United’s Premier League win over Ipswich Town.
An academy graduate, Page has been one of Leicester’s standout performers in the early weeks of 2026/27. He has started the last two matches in midfield, impressing alongside Sammy Braybrooke.
