Manchester United are willing to listen to Roma’s new offer for their striker Joshua Zirkzee. 

The 24-year-old joined United from Bologna in 2024 for a fee worth £36.5 million. 

But he has failed to make a major impact at Old Trafford, scoring just seven goals in 55 appearances across all competitions. 

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, United are ready to listen to Roma’s offer for the Dutchman. 

The Italian side have tabled a loan offer with an option to buy clause included. 

Zirkzee is said to be open to the possibility of returning to the Serie A after enduring a difficult time in Manchester.  

The Dutchman has struggled for first-team opportunities this season under Ruben Amorim, making just five appearances in the Premier League.  

But Zirkzee has also failed to make a strong case for himself when he was given the chance. 

Amorim started the Netherlands international against Everton on Monday. 

But he failed to contribute a goal or an assist, as the Red Devils slumped to a 1-0 defeat at Old Trafford following Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s stunning goal.   

Zirkzee had just 35 touches during the 90 minutes he was on the pitch, and lost possession of the ball on 12 occasions. 

In the absence of Benjamin Sesko, it was a perfect opportunity for Zirkzee to prove his ability, but he failed. 

Amorim may now opt to drop the 24-year-old to the bench when United face Crystal Palace on the road this weekend.
