Real Madrid have maintained a close eye on Nico Paz’s situation for a long time now, and understandably so given how he has always been a player the club have maintained high hopes on.

While they did indeed opt to sell him to Como to further his development, it has always been clear that Los Blancos see him in their long-term future and his growth at the Italian club has followed suit.

In fact, everything suggests that Real Madrid will bring the Argentine wonderkid back to the club next summer by utilising their buyback clause worth around

Now, however, Defensa Central bring to light that Paz’s development has not gone under the radar and that some of Europe’s elite see him in their plans for the long term. Manchester United are one of the top clubs on that front.

A big price tag

As relayed by the Spanish outlet, the Red Devils are willing to spend as much as €80 million for the Argentine midfielder’s signing and see him to be a possible long-term fix for the team’s midfield.

The offer is already on the table and Real Madrid might not be completely opposed to it given the sum of money being offered by the Premier League side.

Indeed, even though they are considering bringing him back, Los Blancos also retain a 50% future sell-on clause and will thus earn €40 million if Manchester United purchase him from Como for the aforementioned price. That is a sum that cannot be ignored.

So, the big question is whether Real Madrid value his profile for their plans for the future or the windfall his sale can bring for their economy.
