Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho’s future could be resolved imminently.

Two of United’s most prolific forwards during Erik ten Hag’s reign, Garnacho and Marcus Rashford, find themselves on the fringes at Old Trafford after falling out of favour under Ruben Amorim.

Rashford was pushed away from United in January and had to spent the second half of the season on loan at Aston Villa. Now, Garnacho could follow a similar path.

Alejandro Garnacho closing in on Aston Villa loan move

According to Argentine outlet Minuto Uno, Garnacho is “one step away” from Villa.

It is claimed United are “preparing a double move” that would massively impact the shape of their squad for next season.

The Argentina international’s name is starting to gain traction at Villa Park. It is understood Unai Emery’s side are working on signing him on a loan deal.

The 21-year-old has attracted interest from Napoli and Al-Nassr as well but he wants to continue his career in England, handing Villa a significant advantage. However, Chelsea are also believed to be monitoring his situation.

United would prefer a permanent sale but Garnacho’s fallout with Amorim has seemingly weakened their negotiating position.

The left winger, who was directly involved in 21 goals across all competitions last campaign, has been asked to train separately from first-team. The United academy product is also not expected to be named in Amorim’s pre-season tour squad.

Emi Martinez nears Manchester United switch

Meanwhile, Emiliano Martínez is thought to be very close to moving to Manchester.

Recently, The Peoples Person relayed a report claiming “formal talks” have begun between United and Villa for the World Cup winner.

As per Minuto Uno, the move is so advanced that Martinez’s fellow countryman, Lisandro Martinez is “waiting for him” at United.
