Manchester United ‘very keen’ on £30m Club Brugge defender | OneFootball

Manchester United have added Club Brugge defender Joaquin Seys to their summer shortlist as the club look to sign a new left-back.

Seys has been identified as an alternative after the Red Devils failed to make progress in an approach for Newcastle United’s Lewis Hall. The 21-year-old caught the eye in Belgium last season, making 55 appearances across all competitions as Club Brugge won the Pro League title.

According to Ekrem Konur, Manchester United are ‘very keen’ on Seys, while Arsenal are also monitoring his situation.

Club Brugge have set an asking price of around £30m for the six-cap Belgium international. Seys is one of a number of options that Michael Carrick is considering, alongside RB Leipzig’s David Raum.

Seys came through the ranks at Club Brugge and has made 97 senior appearances since his debut in 2024.

The 5ft 10 full-back impressed in the Pro League last season with his distribution. Seys ranked among the top five full-backs in Belgium’s top tier for pass completion percentage, forward pass completion, and pass completion into the penalty box, while featuring in the top 10 full-backs for touches and offensive duels won.

Manchester United are determined to sign a left-back ahead of the club’s Champions League return.
