United have three hopeful returners for this game.
Casemiro could be set to play his final match at Old Trafford after announcing earlier in the campaign that he would be leaving the club at the end of his contract.
He was suffering with a minor injury that meant he missed out on the 0-0 draw at Sunderland, with Mason Mount replacing him alongside Kobbie Mainoo.
Elsewhere, Benjamin Sesko is likely to have overcome a shin problem to return to the squad, while Manuel Ugarte also missed the trip to Wearside with a minor niggle but should be back for the visit of Forest.
Matthijs de Ligt is back in light training, but Carrick insisted that the Dutchman was still “further behind” than his fellow team-mates on the treatment table.
Forest, meanwhile, are without John Victor, Nicolo Savona, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Willy Boly all out for the rest of the campaign.
Murillo could also be in a similar boat after picking up a hamstring injury, and Pereira is unsure whether the Brazilian will return before the season is out.
Ibrahim Sangare, Dan Ndoye, Zach Abbott and Morgan Gibbs-White should all return after their respective issues, with the latter both taking blows to the head.
Abbott was ruled out after suffering concussion in a clash of heads with Jesse Derry against Chelsea, while Gibbs-White took a blow to the face aganist the Blues too.
He sported a facial mask in training, and Pereira hopes to have his in-form star available for the trip to Old Trafford.
A game that won’t mean much to either side, but no less an audition for players and coach alike as Carrick and United look to end the campaign with a flourish.
There are places to be won for next term’s squad under Carrick - should he be offered the job on a full-time basis - and it has been reported that United tabled a two-year deal for him to take over the reins next season.
