Manuel Neuer is set to break the World Cup appearance record for goalkeepers when Germany face Côte d’Ivoire on Saturday night.
According to BuLi News, he has been named in Germany’s starting XI, so the 40-year-old will make his 21st World Cup appearance.
That will take him past France’s Hugo Lloris on 20, giving him the most World Cup appearances by a goalkeeper.
It will also mark his 126th cap for Germany, placing him fifth on the nation’s all-time appearance list.
He sits behind Lukas Podolski on 130, Thomas Müller on 131, Miroslav Klose on 137 and Lothar Matthäus on 150.
