Maracanã has announced a new gastronomic hub on the stadium’s fifth floor, featuring restaurants with views of the pitch. According to Globo.com, the Maracanã 360 project carries initial investment of more than R$ 20 million, with completion targeted for the end of the year.
Covering almost 4,000 square metres, the scheme has been developed by the Fla-Flu partnership alongside industry firms. It is designed to address off-day underuse, operating 365 days a year and welcoming visitors even when there is no football.
On matchdays and major events, access to the restaurants will be integrated with ticket sales. The architecture links sightlines of the pitch to indoor social areas.
By year-end, the plan is to open two venues. A sports bar for about 700 people will combine live sports broadcasts, a varied buffet and live music, alongside a steakhouse designed for 250 guests.
Inspired by leading modern arenas, the concept seeks to diversify Maracanã’s use beyond the football calendar. It aims to attract tourists, corporate events, private celebrations and exclusive brand activations through naming rights quotas.
Project leaders describe it as a new phase in the stadium’s relationship with the city, establishing a permanent destination for fans, tourists and brands all year round.
