Marash Kumbulla: “My future? I only think about Espanyol.” | OneFootball

Albanian defender Marash Kumbulla – currently on loan at Espanyol from Roma – discussed his past with the Giallorossi as well as his future which remains unclear.

In an interview with Diretta/Flashscore, Kumbulla reflected on his Conference League trophy with Roma.

“Winning a trophy with Roma in Tirana, I think there could have been nothing better for me. And the next day was also spectacular with those celebrations in Rome.”

“A possible return to Roma? Now I don’t think about it too much because the objective I have now is much more important. I think we should fight until the end to save ourselves and stay up in La Liga with Espanyol and I don’t want to lose any kind of mental energy.”

“Then at the end of the season I will think about my future,” he added.

“I have never fought for salvation in such difficult conditions, because with Verona we saved ourselves quite early and with Roma we were aiming for other goals.”

“We knew from the beginning that it would be like this, that we would suffer until the end. And I hope it ends in the best possible way.”
